As we share our powerful stories, Stronger Than Silence, a non-profit organization, also has a fundraising mission to help domestic violence shelters and service organizations across the country do the important work to help women transition into safer situations and rebuild their life. Our fundraising specifically looks for unique ways to aid survivors directly and for funding best-in-class domestic abuse service organizations.
Fifty to Freedom Campaign
Fifty to Freedom is our current fundraising campaign. Specifically, we are collecting donations in ANY amount (give whatever you can), and combining these donations to fund as many $50 gift cards (e.g., to Target, Walmart) as we are able to provide to our partner domestic abuse service organizations. The organizations will in turn distribute the gift cards to the individuals that need them for essential items as they transition to safer settings. In practice this can be everything from a new winter coat to a kid’s back pack to diapers to groceries. The Fifty to Freedom drive will help meet needs that often lack specific grant or donation funding at domestic abuse service organizations but can make a big difference to a survivor.

We are committed to directing 85% or more of our donations to helping survivors and domestic abuse service agencies. A small percentage of donations will also help Stronger Than Silence with our own expenses to keep expanding our story and fundraising campaigns.
